Grace Children's Choir School

Open to all 2nd-8th graders in the Siloam Springs community

The Grace Children’s Choir School (GCCS) is a choral group based at Grace Episcopal Church and is open to all children who are in the 2nd through 8th grades. Enrollment starts in the fall of each year and attendance at Grace is not required since this is a community children’s choir program (i.e., membership is not restricted to members of Grace Church). The GCCS takes a very educationally-focused approach, giving its young choristers musical skills and an understanding of worship that will last a lifetime. GCCS offers a structured and multi-leveled learning environment individualized to each chorister’s heart and voice. The choir is under the direction of Terri R. Wubbena, who is a Professor of Music at John Brown University. Choir rehearsals are from 4:00-5:00 pm on Monday afternoons during the school year.

We use the Royal School of Church Music’s curriculum, Voice for Life, a multi-faceted approach that emphasizes not only proper use of the voice and music reading skills, but also an understanding of what they sing, of Anglican worship and music’s role in worship, and the role and responsibilities of choristers.  The Children’s Choir sings at the 9:00 service twice each semester and performs a short program at the end of the semester which demonstrates the entire breadth of their learning.  They do not “just sing songs!”  Our goal is to train singers who will graduate directly into the Choir and want to continue participating in choral programs through their lifetime.

We are blessed to have the largest children's choir program in the Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas.

We encourage all children who have an interest in music to apply! To enroll, or if you have questions, please contact
